If you love using sharp knives, you’ve come to the right place!

Hi, I'm Kyle, and I love sharp knives. I've been sharpening them professionally for more than a decade, and I started this service so my Austin neighbors can enjoy them too.

My sharpening story started in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I ran my own sharpening service for four years. I also spent ten years at Wicked Edge Precision Sharpening Systems as head of customer support, where I got to talk edges all day with thousands of fellow knife lovers. Then, when the 2020 pandemic gave us all some extra time at home, I wrote a book about it called Start a Sharpening Service which helps other people like myself put food on the table for their families by sharpening knives for people in their communities.

Every knife I sharpen is done by hand on manual precision equipment. It takes a little longer, but the edge is far sharper than anything a traditional grinding machine can produce. It's also much kinder to your knives. Grinding machines chew through a lot of steel, while my process removes only the tiniest amount, so your favorite knives can stay in great shape for a lifetime.

I think cooking should be fun, and cutting should never feel like a chore. If you've ever squashed a tomato instead of slicing it, you know what I mean. With a razor-sharp knife, prep work might just become your favorite part of making dinner.

Most of my customers are home cooks and culinary enthusiasts, and that's where my heart is. That said, if you run a restaurant or another business, I'd be glad to help you too.

Fresh vegetables, including potatoes, carrots, an onion, and a green chili pepper, are arranged on a wooden cutting board with a knife and a black pan in the background.
